Description
Trilogy Audio are based in London and manufacture all their products, including the Trilogy 906 in the UK.
The importance of the phono stage is often overlooked. Once you get to a certain level, and t’s not that far up the tree, separating the amplification of the signal from the cartridge can be the most cost-effective sonic upgrade. Truth be told, it’s one of the more difficult jobs in amplification.
Our first brushings with Nic Poulson and his team at Trilogy were when we heard great things about the near legendary 907 phono stage. We were, as they say, blown away.
Well over £2000 is quite a hurdle for a lot of people and, as with the 931 headphone amplifier, the 906 gives a lot of the performance of the more expensive 907 phono stage for a much lower price.
Build quality is superb, sound quality exceptional. Mind you, the 907 still trumps it. Twas ever thus.
