Vertere DG X launch.

Friday 9th and Saturday 10th may 2025.

You were cordially invited to meet Vertere Audio’s founder, Touraj Moghaddam and Mike Burn to hear the range of Vertere  turntables, cartridges and phono stages.

Our thanks go to the Vertere team for the time and effort they put into their excellent ‘show’. Touraj’s depth of knowledge and easy, relaxed manner makes him particularly interesting guide.

Primary focus was the new DG X main event but we also had the new CALON phono stage, an example of which we’ve now purchased. MG-1 and SG-1 turntables were set up too, with MG-1 and another DG-X in the other listening rooms.

Vertere cables were in use, naturally along with that extraordinary mains block with reversible phase per item.

Routed through the new Verere Calon phono stage, Naim statement preamp and active ATC SCM50 SE towers, the DGX acquitted itself distressingly well against our own SG-1 super groove. These are all extremely accomplished music extraction tools.

As ever, the record choices were interesting with a couple of 12″ 45 RPM examples cut anti-clockwise where you start in the middle and work outwards. The special copy of the Beatles ‘a day in the life’ made especially good use of this, with all the dynamic build-up coinciding with the extra levels of data available by the outer grooves.

As has been the case in the past, there were slightly fewer bookings for Saturday over Friday and it all ‘degenerated’ into more of a weekend social. A good time was had by all. An additional Vertere visitor (sorry I missed his name) shot some video of Touraj and see loose an amazing drone camera which gave spectacularly high quality results.

With the signals team fully liveried in Vertere T Shirts, we stood outside to be part of a video.  Please don’t judge!!

True to form, we only thought to take our own pictures on day one, nevertheless, some snaps:
