Seasoned signals customers will know that we have handled ATC products in the past. We sort of drifted apart and the local agency was placed elsewhere a few years ago. Part of the issue was lack of room to accommodate them, a problem that already seems to be back with us!

Nevertheless we are chuffed to have ATC back. There is a real sense of them coming ‘home’.  No, it’s just dust in my eye 🙂

Engineering content and performance considered, these are fantastic value for money and they are hand made in the UK to boot.

ATC entry series

Since our last exposure, the products have evolved.  They were always good value but I must admit that the passive entry series of SCM 7, SCM 11 and SCM 19 impressed us  more than we expected. The SCM 40 (£3750) driven by the new Naim Uniti Nova is an eye (and ear) opener.  These new ATC made tweeters have moved things along quite dramatically.

For now we have passive versions of SCM 7, 11 and 40. We have the SCM 19s in active floor-standing form. The passive version of the 19 is a fairly chunky stand-mount and the active one a floor-stander. Being traditionalists, we’ve opted for cherry veneer for the demo stock. It’s a bit more resistant to handling marks.

Yesterday saw their arrival and we are now putting hours on the speakers so that they are fully demonstration ready.
