Trimley st Mary

Let’s start with traffic woes:

Relatively hard on the heels of last year’s closure of Candlet road (a major conduit in and out of Felixstowe) for building works, we have something similar happening to Trimley High Road this month.

For this week, infrastructure work for the nearby Kingsfleet Park housing development means that there is single lane working around the roundabout adjacent to Howlett Way. Until 18th January, this involves four way traffic lights and modest to moderate delays.

From 20th to 31st January, it gets worse and our road will be closed for access from the Ipswich direction. Accessing us from the Ipswich direction will involve a trip further into Felixstowe via the re-opened Candlet Road and back out again.

Please factor this in if planning a trip.

Whilst hurling doom and gloom around, we might as well attempt to bury the bad news that we’ve decided to cancel the Audio Show East event in March. After a great deal of soul searching, we’ve come to the conclusion that we can handle things better with a series of smaller, more targeted open days in our St Cecilia’s House HQ.

The first event in the series will be an opportunity to meet broadcasting legend, Bob Harris in the evening of Friday 28th March 2025. A series of spring events is being assembled and will be added to the relevant pages on the web site in due course.

We know that a lot of people look forward to the social aspect of the Trinity Park show and we hope that we can replicate some of this in Trimley at our spring events once we are clear of the dreary, dark and dismal winter days.
