Easter update

Or more accurately, with Easter now behind us, time for a quick update!

Events, events . . .

Time to get active!

On Friday and Saturday, 2nd and 3rd May, we are holding an ATC open day.

You are cordially invited to join us at Signals HiFi to meet a key member of the ATC team and to hear their latest products.

The catalyst for this event is ATC’s launch of the new SCM20ASL loudspeaker. Techical Sales manager, Ben Lilly will be here giving us an insight into ATC’s design philosophy.

The event will open with Ben being grilled by our very own loudspeaker guru, Kevin.

As usual, there will be refreshments and nibbles, perhaps we’ll need popcorn for the interview section 🙂

Thankfully, we will also play music, through the ATC50SE’s in the large space, with the active 50s and new 20s in the more conventionally dimensioned side rooms.

Vertere DG X turntable launch day

On the following weekend, you are invited to meet Vertere Audio’s founder, Touraj Moghaddam and Mike Burn to hear the new DG X turntable.

Beyond the new DG X main event, we will also have the new CALON phono stage , MG-1 and SG-1 turntables set up in other listening rooms. Systems used will be suitably transparent!

Vertere cables will be in use too, naturally. The usual refreshments & nibbles will be offered.

ARCAM’s new streaming amps now here

The new SA 35 and SA 45 streaming amplifiers have been here for a week or two.

The chunky SA 45 has a colossal amount of power (180 WPC RMS vs 120 for the SA 35) but we have a soft spot for the slightly more cultured SA 35. Both have very respectable MM & MC phono stages and fully featured streamers and class G amplification.

By any measure, there offer impressive value for money, reassuring build quality and attractive styling.

Just to make life really interesting . . .

Linn’s new Majik DSM streaming amplifier has arrived and it has us rather blown our socks off!

It’s a fantastically well judged partner for both of the new 119 and 150 loudspeakers, their own K-200 loudspeaker cables work best but one tweak is to use Vertere Redline mains cable straight to the wall. No fancy mains blocks, just keep it simple!

This is intelligent system matching at its best.
