New arrival . . . and he’s a human!

In celebration of the arrival of new staff member Bill Coliadis, we asked chat GPT to rework the original ‘usual suspects’ line-up picture, adding him in lieu of Mick Dann. We then suggested a change of pose. Cannot resist sharing the result!

This being a spoof of a film poster could hardly be more pertinent. Despite having proper hifi leanings, Bill brings a wealth of home cinema / custom installation experience. This is likely to lead to a broadening of what we have to offer so watch this space 🙂

Coincidentally, we had already been re-involving ourselves in home cinema, selling a Sony Bravia 7 4k Laser projector that impressed so much that I now have one at home!

It’s predecessor was just over ten years old and it’s fair to say that proper progress has happened in terms of image technology. After years of firing up the incandescent lamp in the VPL500ES, heating the room in the process and seeing gentle warm-up and cool-down, the instant fire-up makes the Bravia seem far more like a giant TV. It might have lost some of the sense of drama and anticipation but it does make a far better job of replicating a really good cinema.

Searching for a thoroughly modern control solution to assemble various home cinema components into a coordinated whole has led us to the AVA Remote and Cinema remote pictured above.

We’re definitely impressed. Perhaps toys really are us . . .
