A good example of Naim’s highest-end CD player: The CD555.
One non-smoking owner from new. Condition is good, some light marks can be seen in the photographs.
It operates perfectly and sounds very good, even with a single power supply.
Please note that the CD555 requires a 555 PS (power supply) to function, many users, including the previous owner of this unit, choose to run with two power supplies.. These are not included in the sale price, although the relevant PSU is also listed here.
Because of the complexity and the potential to break what’s not broken, Naim do not service the CD 555 in the conventional way. Rather, they tackle them when something goes wrong. Naim’s feeling is that this unit should still have a good many years ahead of it and they would sooner repair when this is actually necessary. The way this unit sounds certainly adds credence to this.
We have checked mechanism availability with them and have been assured that they are well set to support CD555 mechanisms for some time.
