Unlike the later, but admittedly better, ND5 XS 2, this version can be upgraded with an XPS DR power supply. In fact I remember it making a bewilderingly good case for the XPS DR ‘back in the day’!
Offered boxed with handset, aerials, burndy ‘bung’, grey DIN interconnect and a mains lead. Display is brand new, so nice and bright!

The story
The Naim ND5XS is the streamer equivalent to the CD5XS. Fed from a good UPnP server, such as the Naim Core, UnitiServe, Innuos or Melco,even just a smart NAS this can give results easily as good as the CD5XS and potentially quite a bit better. It has the added bonus of access to higher resolution material up to 24 bit 192 khz.
It also covers internet radio, can access the music files on an iPod, play tracks from a memory stick and be controlled by an iPhone / iTouch or iPad device. It is running Naim’s latest software and only differs from the ND5XS BT in not having bluetooth installed. It’s fully compatible with multi-room ‘party mode’ operation.
The XP5XS and XPS DR power supplies bring substantial improvements.
